Rat World, an independent bi-annual publication that showcases the underground:
Artists, writers, creatives or anyone pursuing interesting independent work in the community. We provide a space for minority creatives (BIPOC and LGBTQI+) who have been traditionally left out from arts platforms, emerging creatives wanting a place to discover their craft and, experienced creatives who want to experiment with something new. At its core, Rat World is about interesting people doing interesting things.
One of the most important and unique aspects about Rat World is our mentorship and guidance opportunities. This magazine is founded on a collaborative approach for artists who have never had the opportunity to get started. We are always happy to set up a coffee date/zoom call to chat about your submissions and how to push your work to the next level.
Our ethos at Rat World is providing tangible help for creatives trying to get ahead. This is why all our selected contributors are paid a reimbursement of $25NZD.
