The rats are back and are so excited to show you Issue Eight!
Check out the works of German multidisciplinary artist, Karla Kracht, as she builds huge sci-fi worlds out of tiny sculptures; or learn about the grassroots project saving lives in the sex industry; or get inspired by Rosa-Lee O’Reilly’s interview with an 89-year-old tooth gem enthusiast. From comics to fashion to animation, Issue Eight is sure to re-invigorate your love for old school print and underground creativity!
Rat World is an independent bi-annual magazine based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa.
We showcase the “underground”: Artists, writers, creatives or anyone pursuing interesting independent work in the community. We provide a space for minority creatives (BIPOC and LGBTQI+) who have been traditionally left out from arts platforms, emerging creatives wanting a place to discover their craft, and experienced creatives who want to experiment with something new.
At its core, Rat World is about interesting people doing interesting things.
